Do not open any email attachments.
Do not ever click embedded links in messages without hovering over them first to check the URL.
Do not click unsubscribe links, it is easier to delete the email than deal with the security risks.
Do not respond or reply to spam in any way. Delete!
Always check the email from field to validate the sender. It can be spoofed.
Always report all suspicious emails to your IT help desk.
Always check for double-extended attachments. A text file called safe.txt is safe to open, but safe.txt.exe is not.
Always note that example.com and example.2.com are two different domains.
