Position Overview

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) for our dynamic software company, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth by identifying and qualifying potential customers. This is an entry-level position, ideal for individuals who are motivated, outgoing, and eager to kick-start a career in software sales. The SDR will be responsible for generating and nurturing leads, understanding customer needs, and collaborating with the sales team to facilitate successful deals.

Responsibilities

Lead Generation:
  • Conduct research to identify potential outbound customers within the target market.
  • Utilize various channels such as social media, industry events, and online platforms to generate new leads.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our software solutions to effectively communicate their value proposition to potential customers.
Prospecting and Qualification:
  • Initiate contact with leads through cold calling, email campaigns, and other outreach methods.
  • Qualify leads based on predefined criteria to ensure alignment with the company's ideal customer profile.
  • Gather relevant information about prospects, including their pain points, challenges, and buying processes.
Communication and Relationship Building:
  • Engage with potential customers to create interest and build rapport.
  • Clearly articulate the features and benefits of our software solutions.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align messaging and outreach strategies.
Collaboration with Sales Team:
  • Work closely with Account Executives to transition qualified leads into the sales pipeline.
  • Provide detailed and well-organized lead handovers to the sales team, ensuring a seamless transition.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the sales team to share insights and refine outreach strategies.
Metrics and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions in the CRM system.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as lead conversion rates, outreach effectiveness, and other relevant metrics.
  • Generate regular reports to showcase the impact of lead generation efforts on the overall sales pipeline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
  • Enthusiasm for technology and a quick learner of complex software solutions.
  • Previous experience in software sales, customer service, or lead generation is a plus.

We will pay reasonable expenses for relocation assistance to move to Lexington, KY and work full-time with our team here.
