What You'll Learn Today: What is Ransomware?

Ransomware is a type of malware that encrypts files on a computer where the attacker provides a method for the victim to pay to unlock the files, hence the name.

As an end-user, you are in a key position to minimize the threat from ransomware. Like other malicious software, ransomware often requires an action from an end-user to get installed, such as clicking a link, downloading a file, or activating a program to run.
